Grimco History

Named after founder, Henry Grimm, Grimco was formerly known as Grimm Stamp and Badge. We focused on the manufacturing of police and fire badges, branding irons and other metal stampings. In the 1950s, we evolved from metalwork into a traffic sign company and were one of the first to introduce silk-screened traffic signs. About 15 years later, screen-printing became the industry standard. Due to this success, we extended our product offering to include sign supplies.

In 1999, Grimco had two sole locations in the United States. To quickly and efficiently serve our customers, we started expanding across the U.S. with the help of start-ups and acquisitions. We also expanded our product offering in 2003 when we entered the digital print market with the selling of media and wide format printers. In 2010, we acquired our first aluminum manufacturing facility in Akron, Ohio that gave us the ability to quickly and economically produce metal signage. Four years later, we proudly established roots in Canada through the acquisition of Proveer.
